Elke Kramer

I am devastated I have nothing to show you, except this photo but it really doesn't do it justice. Today I was so excited when in a shop window I cam across one of her necklaces. It was a square pyramid of black and white marble, surrounded with gold and on a gold silk plaited necklace. It was to die for. I had to go in and find out who made it. This lovely woman did and I looked her up quick smart only to realise that I had been there before. Her designs are also on the cover of this issue of Frankie magazine.

Anyway, her pieces do come at a bit of a price. This particular necklace I would die for was over 300 dollars..wish I had a picture!

Sretsis, not Stresis...

Photobucket

I first saw Sretsis in HK in 2008 and fell in love with one of their dresses, I can vaguely remember it being an off white shift dress with geometric plastic beads surrounding the collar. It was stunning, and I should have just bought it at the time but of course was all negative about it. I did look for it back home but later forgot about it...And only recently I have remembered this brand and it definitely deserves it's own post.

They have some very pretty and feminine designs, the website is stunning:

These are some of my favourites, I am overwhelmed by how large the collection is.

A lot of it reminds me of a cute little tea party, then there are some formal frocks and other more day to day wear. It is a beautiful. And looking at it again I have definitely seen that black and gold skirt before....
From the website I cant see any prices, but there are a couple of stockists in Melbourne so I will have to check them out...

Ahead of my time..Paris Fashion Week + GOLD

WOW!

Just checking out some photos from the behind the scenes of Paris fashion week, and GOLD was very present!! I just adore all of these outfits!

The header is "ahead of my time" just because it's gold and sparkles, haha and I feel I have been brave enough to wear both of these for the past couple of years! and only now are people figuring out how fabulous they are! So I am quite proud, but a little sad...I liked my gold...

Karen Walker-Eyewear

Ah!!

As I keep going with this blog you will gradually see I have an obsession with Karen Walker, I love her eyewear and quirky costume jewelry. This post is about her latest collection:

It's the gold that must get me...I'm suddenly locked in hahaha.
They are just so chunky, and durable, and strong. So much cooler than the standard ray-bans you see everywhere.
Oh how I dream for a pair of these $250 dollar babies...but there is always Ebay

House of Baulch

Ah yes!!!

I have finally got the balls to purchase this FANTASTIC, AMAZING, SEXY...hand bag :D

Photobucket

It is made by this fantastic melbourne designer, House of Baulch. Any way I have been eyeing this piece for months, and got the guts and the cash so yay! I met Kathryn at the Hello Sailor Vintage Fair back in November and she was so delightful!

Today I actually bought a gold jeweled belt today at Idaho Vintage in St Kilda and that was a totally bargain- $20 I don't think the sales assistant knew the real price, because it didn't have a tag! So that would actually match perfectly!

Yes I know my gold obsession is slowly coming out.... :D

Thats it from me, thanks for reading!
